Our Mission

AAR Healthcare exists to serve compassionately and effectively those entrusting us with their care. Utilizing science, technology, and client-centered approaches to inform our practices, we empower each AAR client to create a life of sustained recovery and wellness.

The AAR Healthcare Approach

Our approach to treatment consists of three components:
AAR Healthcare physician

Physician Services

We perform medical assessments leading to the delivery of Ambulatory Withdrawal Management (outpatient detox) and/or ongoing medication-assisted treatment. Our MAT program utilizes buprenorphine (including Subutex, Suboxone, Sublocade), naltrexone (or Vivitrol), and/or other medications to control cravings and manage withdrawal symptoms.

AAR Healthcare counseling

Counseling Services

We use evidence-based counseling approaches to help address and heal the issues that likely underlie and fuel the addiction. This includes individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy (if needed).

AAR Healthcare recovery

Recovery Support Services

Our team helps clients coordinate care with their other healthcare providers while also navigating potential challenges with housing, employment, and legal issues, among other areas. We also help our clients to discover wellness practices that support long-term recovery through improved nutrition, sleep patterns, and mindfulness.

What We Treat

Among many other substance-specific treatment tracks, AAR Healthcare provides the following:

We also treat co-occurring disorders to address the mental-health issues that frequently underpin and fuel substance use, like depression, anxiety, PTSD, and bi-polar disorder. Such conditions are best treated alongside and simultaneous to the addiction itself.

How We Treat

In terms of how we treat these conditions, the below briefly overviews three of the key elements of the AAR experience:

Medication-Assisted Treatment Program

MAT involves using FDA-approved medications in conjunction with a range of evidence-based counseling approaches to combat substance use disorders. AAR makes available multiple MAT options, so we have the capability to treat many different substance use disorders.

Outpatient Program

In our outpatient programs, clients have increased flexibility to live at home, work, and/or attend school while still receiving rigorous and comprehensive care– this includes MAT and individual, group, and family therapy, as well as recovery support services to help those seeking treatment to navigate their day-to-day challenges.

Telehealth Program

Our comprehensive telehealth platform allows us to help clients remotely to maximize flexibility and address public health concerns (including those represented by pandemics like COVID-19). Most individuals we serve prefer our hybrid approach of blending in-person visits with telehealth sessions.
