About AAR Healthcare
Applied Addiction Research (AAR) Healthcare is an outpatient addiction treatment center in San Diego specializing in helping those struggling with substance use disorders (SUD) to achieve a life of sustained recovery and wellness. Utilizing a measurement-based care (MBC) framework, AAR blends medication-assisted treatment with rigorous evidence-based counseling and recovery support services. To maximize client flexibility, AAR delivers its services via a hybrid model of both in-person visits and telehealth. At AAR Healthcare, we believe that by compassionately providing evidence-based treatment protocols supported by scientific research, our clients can transcend current limitations to enjoy a self-directed and purposeful life free of drugs and alcohol.

Care coordination with other healthcare providers; support with areas such as housing, employment, and legal services as well as resources to empower clients to integrate wellness practices supportive of long-term recovery.

What We Treat
Our medical and clinical teams treat a broad range of substance use disorders using evidence-based medication-assisted treatment protocols in conjunction with counseling and recovery support services. Among many other forms of SUD, we specialize in opioid addiction treatment, alcohol addiction treatment, and stimulant addiction treatment. We also treat co-occurring mental health conditions that often accompany addictive behaviors, like depression, bi-polar disorder, anxiety, and PTSD.
